About the author….

I’ve been providing IT, software engineering, and cyber security consulting services for over twenty years. During that time, I also have been heavily involved with domestic and international search and rescue. The SAR investigations mingled with IT experience and led me slowly into computer forensics with side trips into executive protection, flying, riding, emergency services, and some other random things that makes for a rather diverse resume.

I have collected forensic images in China, rescued wayward Americans in Australia, fenced with APT actors from all over the world, and led a mission to Tajikistan to evaluate the emergency preparedness of many local agencies. Oh, and I fly sailplanes, fixed wings, helicopters, and drones…..

I find that my mind is much more open, and my experiences much richer, when I share my thoughts with others and, conversely, listen and try to understand their thoughts and opinions. With that in mind, this is a home for some of my thoughts.
